Hiking New York’s Highest Peak!

Mid-October 2008:

It was a brisk day in the Adirondack Mountains. Temps were in the 20s as we began our hike from the Adirondack Loj at 8am. Although it was cool out, the sun was shining and many of us were excited for a great day of hiking ahead us. This video includes live footage and photos from my 15 mile round trip adventure up Mt. Marcy with my friends and fellow Clarkson University students. Mt. Marcy is New York State’s highest peak with an elevation of 5,343 feet. It is located just outside of the Olympic Village of Lake Placid, NY. -EW
